A software jam for teens about making projects people like!
As an event, I value making technically novel, or particularly creative ideas, but ultimately winners are decided by your peers. As more people participate and log more hours via Hackatime the prize pool expands, with a base prize pool being worth $500.
Where's the money coming from? HackClub is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by organizations like Github, AMD, OpenSauce, Girls Who Code, MIT, and more. The goal is to get more teens into engineering, and teens to get good at engineering.

Failure is a part of learning, we get that. If you would like to pivot at any time, you can call a vote. It's up to your voters to determine if your pivot or ship is as cool or cooler then the original pitch.

In either case only a majority is needed for the decision to be made.
Your final points is weighted based on how you did in three catagories.
